Dr. Aronian graduated from Cornell Medical College and continued her ophthalmic training at New York Hospital. Her private practice was in the city, where she took great pleasure in caring for and teaching her own patients and mentoring Ophthalmic students.
She retired from practice in 2003 and began a new passion for art and design. In the 20 years since her retirement, amazing advances have occurred in her field. Two years ago, she was directly impacted when she received a diagnosis of wet macular degeneration (A condition often ending in blindness and for which, in her time, there was no effective treatment). Now, if detected early, it can be effectively managed!
As both a doctor and patient, she is qualified to raise awareness about this affliction and how to recognize it in its early stages. She has developed a video seminar with fascinating facts about the miracle of vision and how macular degeneration occurs, its medical treatment, and prevention. This seminar is suitable for all ages and levels of medical knowledge.
